Upload a transaction from a wallet
If you have a wallet address, you can pull all transactions from all blockchains from this wallet address.
- Click on
+
in the left hand to add transactions.
- Select
Blockchain
- Name the Wallet
- Select
Asset Account
- Add the Wallet Address
- Select
Via API
- Select
From Date
. You typically want to choose a date as far back as possible to ensure you capture all transactions. I’ve chose 2019-01-01 below. If you are already closed your accounting year say for example 2022, then I would do a from date starting on 2023-01-01 and book opening balances in Breezing.
- We cover all blockchains below listed and so you do not need to select the blockchains individually.
- Click

- Transactions will start importing in.
Upload transactions from an exchange
If you are using an exchange, you can upload your transactions via API or CSV.
Upload transactions from an exchange via CSV
- Go to your exchange and find a download option. Be sure to download historical transaction in Ledger format. For Kraken, this can be found under History and Export.
- Click on
+
in the left hand to add transactions back in Breezing.
- Select
Exchange
- Name the Exchange
- Select
Asset Account
- Select the
Exchange
you want to upload a CSV for.
- Click
Via CSV Upload
- Upload the CSV you downloaded from your exchange.
- Keep the Toggle
Calculate FIAT amount when possible
toggle on if you want us to calculate the FIAT amounts for each of your transactions in the CSV.

In cases, where Breezing does not support your exchange or blockchain, you can always upload transactions via CSV.
- Click on
+
in the left hand to add transactions.
- Select
Blockchain
- Name the Wallet
- Select
Asset Account
- Add the Wallet Address
- Select
Via CSV File
- Click
Download CSV Example
- Fill in the columns of the CSV. You do not need to fill out the fields amountFIAT, feeFIAT, WalletFrom and WalletTo. Be sure the date format is yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.
- Be sure to add something in the
feeToken
field even if there is no Fee associated with that transaction. The same goes with fieldsamount
andfee
populate those with a “0” if there is no amount.
- Once ready, upload the file into Breezing and keep the toggle
Calculate FIAT amount when possible
turned on if you wish for Breezing to convert the transactions you’ve uploaded into FIAT.
